If the educational or training provider is Title IV eligible then contact the financial aid officer to find out if if you qualify for a Pell Grant under special rules applicable to workers receiving UI benefits.

Pell Grants

Some recipients of unemployment insurance (UI) may get special consideration for financial aid (Pell Grants) which could be used to fund job training or education. On top of that recipients may also be able to receive continued benefits while receiving the training or education. Federal Pell Grant scholarships can fund up to $5,350. in expenses.
